During the first one hour of coastal train ride you could
see the beaches rarely, toward Colombo fort there are several long stretches of
sea which you could stand and enjoy. Quiet an enchanted experience with the
breeze flowing through your inner peace.
One of the family was trying to converse with me in sinhali and when i gestured “i don’t know”, he misinterpreted that am dumb and he called all of his family and informed that am dumb. I couldn’t stop smiling at their behavior but admittedly kept quiet and enjoying the quiet moments throughout the journey. But
time to realize that my sign language needs improvement K
As I had to take the bus to airport & bus stop was 1 km from station. Decided to venture into pettah market a flee market to kill the time. Southern srilanka and Colombo was hot and not bearable with my humpy and bumpy. While roaming around the market without any intention, could hear many people talking in thamizh. Suddenly heard “Rajini uncle enge irukeenge” couldn’t control the laughter despite of people giving me dirty look.
Had lunch and bumped into intercity bus to airport, reached in 40min and entered the airport. The airport was
the best refugee to escape the heat. As i had enough time at airport, was contemplating the whole trip and was feeling about everything, though i had missed Ella, whale watching and hike to world's end, it didn't bother me much.
Had put in lots of efforts in deriving the whole trip by myself which i could see paid off. End of the trip will be a beginning of a new exploration :)
Flight was delayed by 1.5 hours and reached home around 9.0 PM
How to reach Colombo from Galle
Galle has railway station and bus stop very close. Enquired the previous day for the train booking from galle to colombo, one hour before start time is sufficient enough to get the 2nd class unreserved tickets and was able to get the seats of my choice.
